The New Brand

What We Did:

Industry marketing, Digital branding, Website development, Brand launch

Description:

Sweet Oaks was a Temecula, CA-based company with wine, equestrian, vacation rental, and event verticals. For a variety of reasons, the company’s launch had been pushed back multiple times over a two-year period. None of these vertical had gone to market yet, and they needed someone to lead their launch.

The first step we took was to identify the different types of customers who will interact with each of Sweet Oaks’ business verticals. We created consumer personas for each vertical, as well as a 13-step strategic plan to launch each brand extension and bring it to market.

Next, we ensured Sweet Oak’s website was compliant with California Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) regulations. We redesigned the Sweet Oaks website to include vertical-specific subdomains. The reason for doing so is we could restrict website visits for the wine site by 21+ consumers. We also input an age gate on the Sweet Oaks, one of the first Temecula winery websites to do so.

After that, we secured Sweet Oaks’ membership in the local winegrower trade association. This lent legitimacy to the winery, as well as opened the door to being included in industry marketing and publicity.

Last, we designed the Sweet Oaks Wine e-commerce page. Once we ensured the technology aligned with the fulfillment pathway, and was ABC-compliant, we launched Sweet Oaks Wine, officially bringing the winery to market.
